Blue Gum Gathering - 3 August 2019

Great day at the Blue Gum where we merrily chatted away and drank coffees and dined on Irene's fabulous Monica's aka Madonna's slice.

It was so good and there was nothing left to take home. Irene said she forgot the sugar but in all fairness it did not need it anyway!

Cath was working on her pieced hexies again.

Emma was on the countdown for this beautiful blanket for her son; only 37 rows to go and then the final edging finish. Emma was 'sporting' this new and beautiful ring she picked up on her way to the Blue Gum.

New member Jane was working on her hand knitted socks made from beautiful Danish wool. Jane is also wearing a popular hand knitted cardigan which is also being made by Stephanie and Fiona.

Stephanie's gorgeous colourway.

Fiona's super cardigan being knitted in cotton.

Irene was about to commence a new triangular shawl https://www.windingroadcrochet.com/first-triangle-shawl-free-crochet/with a beautiful coloured yarn. Irene decided to go home and watch the video tutorial for guidance.

Rita was working on 2 projects. First she completed her first ever knitted square but needed some assistance from Stephanie in how to cast off. Great to know how to start these projects but even better knowing how to finish!

Next Rita proceeded to work on her hexagon project.

Lynne was binding her quilt.

Joy was hand basting hearts over templates for future use.
