Show and Tell... Wow! Wow! Wow!

So so so in love with this quilt of Jenn's, we've watched month by month as each and every border has been very carefully sewn together.  The colours are amazing aren't they.  Two more borders to go, so it's going to be an enormous quilt!

Love, love just love Lissa's pendant!  Coloured Pencils.  I want one... actually I think I really need one!

Cath went to a Quilt Show in Japan.  It was all about Peter Rabbit and William Morris.  Beautiful photos in this book.

Jill almost finished the binding on this lovely quilt, another for her Charity.

Wow!  Lyn's friends grandchild is going to love this quilt, such fun and so colourful!

 Look at these beautiful little dresses, Stephanie's Grandmother made them for Steph's two daughters, one of whom is sitting beside Steph.  Stephanie has soaked and washed the dresses and they now look like new again. 

Gosh! Marilyn has made another great Bonnie K Hunter quilt, I haven't seen this pattern before and of course I can't remember the name of it... I think I need a secretary to follow me as I take photos and jot down all the wonderful information for you  :-)

Michelle didn't make this bag but someone in Africa did, isn't it just delightful, recycling at it's best eh!

I forgot to bring my 'Show' yesterday... Last week I made this little quilt for Lila Rose, my new Great Niece recently born in Singapore.  I've just got to quilt and post it off.

Penny's two Santa Stockings, one she made for Grand Daughter Madison last year and the stocking she was working on today for Grand Daughter Amelie, what fun they are.

Today we enjoyed the company of three Daughters and one Grand Daughter of our friends... how lovely is that eh!

It's way past 3pm and only a few of us left and still sewing at the Pub...  there's Lizzie sitting all by herself... she did join us shortly after this photo, she was concentrating so hard on her work she couldn't stop and move :-)

Here's my Story...

I was admiring Jenn's neat and colour coordinated Hexagon's, and the colour coordinated finished hexi blocks behind, plus on the right but hard to see are the coloured threads in that little capsule so I thought I'd take a photo of my box of Hexagons below...

What a mess in comparison to Jenn's!

Then I found an address on one of my old old old hexi papers, see below.

This is my handwriting so I must have written this address down on the only bit of paper we could find way back in 2005/6 when we were living in the UK.

I got so excited!  I don't remember this address, is it the home of Jane Austen or some other famous Author?  Actor?  Prime Minister...  or is it one very special Patchwork Shop?  I couldn't wait to get home from the Pub and have a really good search on Google.

So this is what I found so took a Grab.

21 Bath Street, Weymouth.  Nice looking Terrace house but no plaque on the wall and absolutely nobody famous ever lived here so was it a friend's home?  I don't remember visiting this home while we were living in England back then...  soooo... looking closer and from above...

... there's Bath street in the middle left of this Grab and right behind it is the 'First Hampshire and Dorset'    BUS DEPOT!    Hmmm  my David, he was very fond of the type of buses that ran from this Depot so he must have met one of the Drivers who lived near by!  
How disappointing for me! 

It was Full House at the Blue Gum Pub yesterday, 33 SCQuilters arrived, the noise level was high, the chat was interesting and inspirational, everybody was busy with handwork, ('cept me) and it was soo lovely to see so many happy faces!

One SCQuilter flew in from Melbourne, she has become a sort of regular, another flew home to the Phillipines today, one drove up from Albion Park Rail others from the foothills of the Blue Mountains, many were a bit closer with only a one hour drive and some of us had enjoyed a 10 minute drive.  We are a big mix of good friends aren't we!   How lucky are we all being able to find like minded friends from all around Australia through the internet and be able to meet monthly for a lovely catch up.  I just love it!!

I'm afraid I need some help...  I can't remember who made this lovely table runner and I can't see them behind it!

Plus below, I remember wowing over this quilt but I can't remember who made it... help!   AND  I think I've seen it before.....

Jackie made this Spider Man Quilt, actually it's a 'Super Hero' quilt.

I can't believe this but... Becky started and finished these two booties at the Pub yesterday!  If I know Becky, they have probably been felted already, love to see them again next month Becky.

This black cat was being appliqued onto a tea towel made by Jan, fun tea towel eh!

Erica is doing a great job on this fun quilt, we see more and more each month.

I'm loving these big Hexagons of Shirley's, all made from Kaffe Fassett fabrics.

I think I might be getting back to Hexies... I know I swore I never would after finishing my enormous Hexie Quilt but, they do make for easy handwork to take to Pubs or friends homes, don't they!

Here is my Hexie Quilt, the one that's put me off hexagons for the past 3 years!  The top is finished but have I quilted it... No!

I can't remember how many 1/2" Hexies I made, it's in the 1,000's!  11,000 or more I think.
