It felt so good to be back at a SCQuilty Pub today, a small and cosy group on a cold windy day.

Heather and Rita.
Heather's stunning work and it was very exciting for her to finish the centre piece today!  Yay!
Rita started these hexagons back in 2013, it's good to get back into working on a piece this old 😉
Lisa and Maggie who is so very please to see me!
Lisa's hexagons, love those elephants.
I am always amazed at Maggie's very fine stitchery Wow!
Lissapoo and Penniepoo.
Lissa is crocheting a cream blanket,
Penniedarling is knitting these small squares for a blanket, at her 5yo Grandaughter's request.
Irene with her friend Jill, I knew Jill many moons ago when her son Jarrod played soccer with my son Tomos.

 Irene's Crochet.

Below is the booking that was placed on our table, I love how my surname has been spelt, it's exactly how I say it, Griffiths doesn't roll off my tongue as well as Griffits 😃

First Pub Outing for 2020! I was unable to be there but Becky kindly sent me all these wonderful photos! Yay!

I know this is Rita's, looking very good Rita,  not too much to go by the look of it.

I'm guessing this beauty is being made by Joy?

Love this little piece... is this your Becky?

I also know this beauty is Heathers... Love it!

This lovely looks like Lynne's, Wow!

Wow!  Liz, you do make the most amazing things.

This looks like another of Liz's beauties.

Left to right...  Joy, Heather, Lynne, Liz, Cath... I know Becky was there and Rita!

This looks like it could be one of Bec's lovelies.

Someone will have to tell me who is making this masterpiece...  It's Becky's!  Yay!  Just beautiful.

16 March 2019

Happy day at the Penno Pub today, lots of beautiful handwork going on... Three Knitting, Three Stitching, Four Applique and one sewing.

I was knitting what looks like a Christmassy jumper but it's not.

Yes you read correctly... Maggie was stitching this beautiful piece for Lisa.
And Lisa will have this little scarf ready for this winter, not much wool to go now.

Heather was appliquing hit little beauty.

Jill was appliquing more of this Mmmmm  border.

Ann was appliquing this lovely piece.

Lynne is making a key ring holder for one of her Grandaughters, and below a couple of pot holders also made by Lynne.

Irene was knitting this lovely shawl with this beautiful wool.

Joy was sewing some Applique.

Penny has done a fair bit on her stitchery since we saw this a couple of weeks ago.

Rita's daughters Girl Guide badges above and below Rita's Pot Holders to gift.
Below is a Quilt Rita made for her mother many years ago.

Look at us all, heads down and working away, the only head that wasn't down was mine... because I was taking the photos!

16 February 2019

Handwork of all sorts at the Penno Pub today.

Ann bought this lovely little frog Pincushion from Craft Depot, made in the Philippines.
Below is the Applique that she was busy working on today.

We saw Heather making up these little pieces a couple of weeks ago at the Blue Gum,  she has now appliqued then onto this block... but wait there will be more!

Irene was 'Scarf' knitting once again, she is known for all her wonderful scarves.

Jill was also working on this very interesting Applique.

Now this is a funky little piece, it's a Mug Mat for one of Lynne's Grandchildren who likes Books... how clever was it of Lynne to find some Selvages that could have been book titles, very clever!
Below is another little stitchery Lynne is working on.

I knit these little dolls out of all my little balls of left overs from Jumpers and so on, then I give them to the Hornsby Hospital Shop.

Now this is going to be interesting, Penny has finished the Tree Applique and soon she will be able to sew the leaves on, can't wait till next time Penny.

Rita and her Monet Garden quilt, this is just a segment and very soon she will be able to start putting the segments together... can't wait.
