Show and Tell

Cath had her magnificent Aviatrix quilt top (designed by Elizabeth Hartman).

Cath was also wearing a beautiful crochet shawl made by one her daughters. It was beautiful and soft.

There was a lot of hexagon business going on with three (3) of us working steadily away! Marilyn was continuing with her temperature crochet. Here's one Glynis was working on.

Show and Tell

Marilyn was wearing a beautiful knitted cowl.

Rita had two (2) quilt tops to impress us. They will be going to charity when completed. Rita said some of the squares have been cut and waiting for a project for at least 10 years.

Emma was busy crocheting and at the same time showcasing her lovely crochet poncho! Thanks to Stephanie for the poncho inspiration.

Heather was continuing with her applique.

Glynis and Rita were both working on hexagons this month. Irene was knitting. Sorry Rita and Irene - no pic!

We were lucky enough to be joined by two new ladies, Leanne and Juliana. Leanne is working on a hand embroidered stitchery idea which we're looking forward to seeing progress.

Show and Tell

This month Leanne provided our only show and tell item. The original plan was to give it away to charity but once completed Leanne couldn't part with it and she had to make another to be given away instead. 

Next get together Saturday 1 August 2026 at the Blue Gum.

Cath was working on another hand pieced project. 

Irene was knitting another scarf for charity.

 Emma was busy working on her hexagon project; drawing, cutting and stitching.

Emma was also attaching a couple of pretty little hexagons to the front of a purse as a gift for a friend.

Heather was continuing with her applique and Glynis and Rita were also working on hexagon projects.

Show and Tell

Heather stole the show with her wonderful bags! They were beautiful and practical.

Emma was so smitten by the Eiffel Tower Bag she had to buy it!!

The bags were finished so professionally and even had a pocket!

Cath had 4 quilts to show. 

1 This one will probably go to charity.

2 Another beauty utilising some 'waste' triangles.

3 Black and white is always a stunning combination.

4 A magnificent top finally completed.

Next get together will be Saturday 4 July 2026 at the Blue Gum Hotel, Waitara.

Rita 

Completed two (2) colourful quilts to donate for children in the 'Hope in a Suitcase' project.

Rita's third quilt was for the husband of a friend and made from some of her friend's dresses.

Next get together will be Saturday 6 June at the Blue Gum!

Cath was busy this month sewing down the binding on some small quilts for charity, stitching down her applique (a Michele Marvig design) and contemplating fabric choices on another ufo.

Rita

An item for a sale table at an upcoming quilt show. This is a folded patchwork design for a Christmas ornament.

Emma

Working on some fussy cut hexagons as a feature on a purchased table runner and also making progress on her snood.

Has completed another two fabulous bags for sale at an upcoming quilt show. Beautiful work with gorgeous zippers and zip pulls.

Heather is working away on her beautiful Love Entwined quilt top. Still some more borders to complete. It's gorgeous now and will be stunning once completed.

Cath is working on slow stitching a Kawandi piece. It will be a bag I think.

Irene started another two knitting projects, a headband and a scarf. One for charity and one for herself.

Rita is continuing along with her hand pieced hexagon beauty.

Heather made this pretty bag to put on the sale table at an upcoming quilt show.

Glynis completed her Orca Bay quilt (Bonnie Hunter design).
