Handwork - lots of busy hands at work.
This is Brenda's Pin Cushion, I just couldn't bear to see pins stuck in this lovely little fellow so took them out for the photo... I couldn't put them back in, Brenda had to.
Brenda was working on this lovely big Dresden Plate.
Heather has almost finished all her blocks for this quilt she's been making for a while, she only works on it while she's at one of our Pubs... All Heather has to do now are the faces, she's having trouble drawing them up.
Irene was working on another scarf for Charity.
Jill was hand quilting her Charity quilt.
I love this little sewing bag of Joy's, so bright and fun.
Joy is working on another border of this quilt.
Lissa got a lot of work done on this crochet scarf, Michelle started her off and boy did she work at it... I took this photo well before we finished for the day I know it has doubled.
Lynne is always making such delicate stitchery's these are little beauties.
Michelle has made these but I forgot to ask what she is doing with them so you will have to stay tuned.
This lovely work is Michelle's as well and it's growing and growing!
Rita is preparing early for Christmas this year :-)
Robyn is working on another stunning appliqued Quilt.
Marilyn was sewing Hexagons, I took the first photo and by the time I'd gone around our tables taking other photos she'd finished this pinky block! She had lots in her work bag but I just took a photo of one other.

Food Glorious Food.
Someone enjoyed Chocolate Brownie with Chocolate Ice Cream, I can't say who but I know her name started with Ri.. :-) to give her credit though, she did have it after her lunch.
Salt and Pepper Squid is always popular at the Penno Pub.
The Author of this Blog is very partial to the odd oyster or two or 6! and loves the Penno Pub's Duck Pancakes!
The battered New Zealand Whiting Fillets looked very delicious and were also popular.
The Thai Beef Salad is another very popular dish.
Somebody, who shall remain nameless loved the Penno Pub's Salted Caramel Ice Cream... I wonder who that can be? Hint... her name ends in ie... :-)
The Steak Sandwich was much enjoyed.
But... it's the Sticky Squid Salad that wins many a SCQuilter's heart time after time!
Gosh I'm feeling hungry again!!

Show and Tell.
Lovely little quilt made by Christine.
Jill made this Charity quilt from scraps left over from other Charity quilts! Very clever and my mind just spins trying to work out the blocks? how did she do this? Great result!
Marilyn finished off this quilt for her dog Morgan but sadly he passed away before he could use it but his doggy friend Baily is loving it.
Robyn's quilt is an absolute Stunner! Just look at all those different blocks all different sizes and I love the border as well.

Wow! Some of these SCQuilters travelled a great distance to be at the Pub today!
Some SCQuilters travelled great distances to be with us which is just magic isn't it and I know we all went home happy if a little tired after all the noise of greetings, laughter, food and chat!
It was indeed a Fun Day!
We haven't seen Becky for months, she's been out and about and not all that well so it was great to see her wonderful smile once again. That's me on the right in case you didn't know.
Lovely to see Cath and Robyn as well... Cath travels about one hour to get to the Pub and Robyn about 5 minutes!
Colleen came all the way from Rutherford way up past Maitland. That's one and a half hours but she is staying in Sydney this weekend... Liz lives a tad closer so good to see both of them.
Emma and Rita don't live too far away, we all commented on how we loved Emma's new haircut, looking fabulous Emma!
This happy double act don't live too far away either although Gillian will be moving west in a couple of months... Heather isn't are you Heather?
Another happy double act Irene and Penny only live 15 minutes away.
Now these two are always trouble when they get together, well Jean from the Central Coast is the better behaved but Shirley, that younger sister of hers all the way from Melbourne can be trouble! Don't tell her I told you that will you :-) So so so lovely to see these two, it's been so long... make sure you don't leave it so long next time okay!
Lynne and I almost live in the same street so we don't have far to come.
Now these two travelled many many many miles... Maureen from Kent, UK (but not yesterday) and Christine from Bathurst! It was really lovely meeting Maureen for the first time and wonderful to see Christine once again.
Gosh did I get in almost every photo??? Now Stephanie came up all the way from Albion Park Rail, she tells me it took her 3 1/2 hours to get to the Pub and 5, that's FIVE hours to get home... that's public transport for you, especially when they are working on the rails and buses have to take over! Poor Steph, that was one very looooong day but we're so glad to have seen you and enjoy our catch up.
Lovely always to see 'Wonder Woman' Selina and how long has it been since we've seen Ros all the way from Padstow. Wonderful to have a good catch up with both of you.
There were a couple of people who's photos I didn't get around to taking... it was terrific seeing Jill who enjoyed lots of lovely chats with many of us and lovely to see Marilyn and Ruth as well.
A great day all in all! Thanks Everyone!
Busy hands just seem to make more and more work, especially when we see and much admire what another SCQuilter is working on that we just have to make ourselves!
Becky tells us she is just using a cheap hanky to stitch this beautiful work... just a cheap hanky! Well it's not going to be 'cheap' when she finishes is it!
Cath is playing with Hexies, I hope we see more of these and these below as well......
Christine is loving having some easy hand work to do on the train as she travels back and forth from Sydney to Bathurst!
I love this work of Colleen's, I wonder how it will finish up.
Emma bought these lovely fabrics along and managed to cut them all to pieces with only stringy scraps to take home... Oh and many many Hexagons as well of course :-)
Irene is working away on another crochet scarf for her favourite Charity.
Now these look interesting, I wonder what Jean is up to... she did explain but my head was already full so now I can't remember but hopefully we will see one day soon.
Methinks there might have been just a tad of reverse sewing going on here since we last saw this amazing piece of work from Liz... just a tad.
I have no idea what is going on here, but it looks such fun! Do you want to try and guess? or... maybe we'll wait for Lynne to finish so we can see eh!
I am knitting this pattern or a very similar one for the 7th time... Yes Seventh time :-) who's decision was it to have so many grown up kids eh! This one is for DS2.
Penny has been Lucy Boston-ing for many many months now, I did ask her how many more blocks she thought she needed to do but... as I have already said... my head was full so I can't remember, she must have hundreds already done though, what an amazing quilt this will be and knowing Penny as I do, it will be beautifully hand quilted as well.
I love these bright blocks that Robyn makes up, looking forward to seeing where this one goes in the scheme of things.
Ros was binding, binding and binding... this is the last process of a quilt and one that takes a long time doesn't it.
Beautiful and very pretty seed sack fabrics are being turned into these blocks by Gillian, so delicate.
Heather... I still love this block and it is looking better and better... Heather tells us she only sews these blocks when she comes to one of our Pubs!!
Selina, Selina, Selina... I wonder what you are up to now... Your sketch looks interesting... I guess we will just have to wait and see eh!
Shirley, all the way up from Melbourne, bought along one of our favourite pieces of handwork when we are out and about... Hexagons! Yay!
Now I've saved the best till last... well maybe it's because the maker of this little item has a name starting with S...
Stephanie tells me she is making a... wait for it... A Codpiece!!! She isn't actually but she certainly got a good laugh... this is a Water Bottle holder, one of several she's making for her Grandchildren! :-)
