Nice small group gathered at the Blue Gum on a lovely Sydney Winters day, not a great deal of 'Show and Tell' but enough to inspire that's for sure.

Kate's Two Inch blocks are just lovely... I think I need to make some myself...
Heather's Star Quilt for a little girl cousin.
Heather's 'I Spy' for a little boy cousin.

Heather's new handwork.

Lyn was knitting a sock today, this wool makes the sock look like a Fair Isle pattern but is just plain knitting... beautiful isn't it! A tad expensive though one ball, which makes a pair of socks... costs about $30.

Marilyn was preparing Hexagons for The World's Greatest Hexagon Quilt Challenge being organized by Gail Chalker in Gatton, Queensland.

Another happy day at the Blue Gum with lots of sewing and Show and Tell.

Seventeen SCQuilters arrived at the Blue Gum during the morning, there was lots of chat with lots and lots of sewing being done... I didn't have any show and tell but I did baste several half inch hexagons ready to go on the border of my long time diamond hexagon quilt.
I actually spent most of the day taking photos and introducing everybody to everybody, I started with full names and suburbs but as the day wore on decided I would make fewer mistakes if I stuck to first names and suburbs...
Enjoy all the photos... not only have I remembered everyone's names I've put them in Alphabetical order... backwards :-) cheers PennieLunch at the Blue Gum.
